I will remove add when i no longer have eggs ! I have been working on this project since early 2013 and it is still a project. I am working on egg color now by using a black marans split to lavender rooster, not black copper, over my lavender and black split to lavender hens. ..about 60 percent of the chick's will hatch lavender. If you check out the lavender marans thread you will see pictures of the birds.
I will post picture's of the birds asap...some of my hens lay darker eggs than others, but the black marans rooster will improve egg color on the next generation.....shipping is $ 17.00

I posted a picture of the eggs, like i said this is still a project. The birds are correct, i am working on the egg color now. You can see by the egg picture some of the hens lay darker eggs than their sisters. The rooster in the pen now should improve egg color on the next generation...if you decide to work on this project,and purchase eggs, your extra eggs will be from my black marans pen, the rooster determans egg color, so you want one that hatches from a dark egg....charm
