I know what you mean. I'm on my third batch of Silkie eggs, the first eggs I bought I wound up selling all of them as pets...they weren't great, crests weren't large enough, some toe webbing, one had four toes, blah...the last ones I hatched are perfect so far...still looking to get a few more really good quality ones together for some nice breeding...

PS I don't really think you are being greedy.

Just a reminder the auction ends at exactly 10:30pm tonight and just so it's fair to all I'm using the following website to determine exactly when 10:30 is. My computer is off by a minute so I'm sure a couple of other people waiting for that last minute to "swoop" in
