I have several different flocks of birds together the share the same coop, run and free range together. I went out of town for the weekend, and the person who was taking care of them said he saw my broody on her nest, fine. I came home today less than 28 hours and she is dead and her eggs still in the nest cold!!![IMG]

all that was left of her body was skin, feathers and bones. I think the others ate her she was a silkie and didn't seem to have trouble with any of the other birds but I can't imagine if a predator got in there why it would leave the nest undisturbed!!![IMG]

I don't understand what could have happened!!!

None of the others were injured and they are in a 3 layer reinforced run when I am not around!!! I am worried on of the roosters or an aggressive hen may have done it
