Augh!!! Broody hen murder!! will chickens kill chickens??

I have several different flocks of birds together the share the same coop, run and free range together. I went out of town for the weekend, and the person who was taking care of them said he saw my broody on her nest, fine. I came home today less than 28 hours and she is dead and her eggs still in the nest cold!!!

all that was left of her body was skin, feathers and bones. I think the others ate her she was a silkie and didn't seem to have trouble with any of the other birds but I can't imagine if a predator got in there why it would leave the nest undisturbed!!!

I don't understand what could have happened!!!

I had this same thing happen to my OEG Bantam on 13 eggs..... What ever it was didnt eat the egg, I thought it was a weasel or Fisher Cat......

None of the others were injured and they are in a 3 layer reinforced run when I am not around!!! I am worried on of the roosters or an aggressive hen may have done it
