August Egg Swap ~ Emails have been sent

these are pics of my chickens

I believe this may be a roo/not really sure though/it is a silkie/arucana mix

this here is my Cochin,not sure if male or female

the two white ones are my Roosters they are Leghorns

This My Silkie Hen,as you can see she is broody at the moment,she is sitting on 19 eggs

this is my head roo and the only one that is allowed to breed at the moment

most of the eggs I get are from my Rir Hen and my silkie hen

Glad you got a hen to sit n them. I sure with I had one that would. Maybe two. I could use a small hen, one of those mini chickens for the quail eggs. lol

ummm I think you have a few more Roos then you thought - I'm pretty sure that only one of those leghorns is a Roo . Could be wrong wouldn't be the fist time . Buttttttt maybe not this time .

I was thinking the same thing for the last couple days...the only one that crows is the one with the bigger comb/wattle,heres hoping I have one more hen to add to the few I do know about

3 Black Silkies
1 Welsumer Pullet
1 Black Australorp Pullet
1 Cochin/no idea what it is
1 silkie mix
1 EE roo
1 Leghorn Hen
1 Leghorn Roo

Been following for awhile missed this one by a few days darn. I think I know what the mystery egg is and I want it badly. lol. You guys are soooo lucky I hope I can get in one of these egg swaps soon.

Ok, update. Candled the serama eggs 2 had no life signs and the air cell was broke. The rest look good. The surprise egg I see a red ring so I think it didn't make it, but I am keeping it for another 2 days an recandling it. Some times it's hard to see the veining in them. I will update in 2 days.

I candled yesterday too. Too early to really tell but there where signs of veins in all but 2. I'll recheck in a few more days. I had put a few of mine in there from he same hen I used to send my eggs to my partner and they where clear. I'm hoping my partners aren't clear also. I know the Bob Whites are good. Out of 19 eggs I had 1 clear then 1 gave up early and the rest are hatching. I have 4 chicks so far.

I put my EE hens that are laying with Turbo the Silkie roo and I know there will be fertile eggs next time. I was hoping to find an Americauna roo and may still before then. There's time to get them fertile.
