Do Auracaunas stop laying blue eggs? I have two Auracauna hens that I know were laying blue eggs. One was given to me to foster when her home coop was attacked by a mink. Within a day I was getting small blue eggs. Several weeks later I bought another adult Auracauna from a man at a feed store. She laid a blue egg in the box during the ride home from the store. For a few days I got a couple of blue eggs each day. Now I'm getting fewer eggs and only get brown eggs. I also have 3 Orpingtons, a Wyandotte (also a foster) and a Rhode Island Red so it's hard to tell just who is providing the two or three eggs a day that I get. I can only say for certain that none of them are blue. There have been no changes in food. All birds are 2 yrs and younger.
Any suggestions as to what has happened?
