Good deal. She's a pretty pullet.Father is silkie mother Australope. She is a sweetie. She has the feathered legs and four toes. Temperament is more mellow than my Australorpes was at the same age.
Do you know if the crosses lay as well as their mother? Like would an Australorp mama/Silkie dad lay eggs as often as an Australorp? I have two crosses now, one with an Australorp mom, the other with a Silkie mom. TIA!I've had Australorp/Silkie crosses. They all look a little different because they are crosses and because Silkies come in a myriad of colors these days.
Her size will depend on whether the Australorp was the father or the mother. If the mother, then your chicken will be larger than if the Silkie was the mother.
I expect she will stay similar to how she is now, just bigger and with a red comb at maturity. She'll remain white, keep the crest and small beard, and probably have a somewhat plump body shape. Probably feathered legs, too.
