Australorp and barred rock get along?

Hello, I took in an australorp rooster and hen that was the lowest on the pecking order in the old flock. The hens head is quite pecked and she seems tired and was described as “depressed”. The rooster is missing the bigger flock and seems unhappy though he is being nice to the hen. I am trying to find other hens to put with them, I preferred aurstralorps or orpingtons but have not been able to find any. I found a pair of barred rock hens, do you think they will get along OK? Will they hurt the pecked hen? I don’t know what else to do to calm the rooster.

We have Barred Rock chicks along with other chicken breeds. Barred Rocks are very sweet and gentle. I don't think they would do any harm.

Some squabbles happen in a flock, proper introduction can drastically reduce them. chickens of all breeds usually get along fine.

Rocks are not an aggressive breed. They are docile and sweet. <3
