This sweet chick was sold as a black Australorp, I purchased two at the same time and one is clearly blacker, this one seems to be grey? Or is this what black Australorps look like around 4 weeks? New to Australorp chicks♥️🐥 I hope she’s a she?!

Black australorps I have were black and yellow patches in the down. As they feather up, they are getting black feathers.

Yes when they were little I do recall some yellow. Here’s a pic of the three we brought home as black Australorp chicks
