Hello. I have a black australorp (12 weeks, I’m pretty sure) and a blue australorp (11 weeks, I’m pretty sure). It strikes me as odd that they’re both the same breed, but feather shapes are so different. The black has such skinny feathers. Please tell me this isn’t indicating that one is a cockerel!

Thank you! We recently had to pass along a cockerel to a family member, and my kiddo was so sad. Am glad we won’t have to send another away! ❤️

I feel like I just posted the same thing- a black and a blue Australorp, kid's pets lol. And its our black one that seems roo-ish, not just feather-shape but more alert & a deeper "peep".🤞
Good luck to you!
