Hi All! We received an order of Brahmas and Cochins a month ago, they threw in some wild cards too. We’ve identified all but these two. I’m thinking #1 is an Australorp and #2 possibly a Jersey Giant. Neither are breeds I’ve had before so I’d love opinions on what you think they are. Sorry for the pics in hand, #2 was not interested in sitting for a photo

Looks like BJG and BA. We’ve had both breeds, and M and F.

Nice yellow on the feet bottoms, the brightest I’ve seen in awhile! It is part of the APA standards for BJG.

Our BA were good layers, the male was a bit aggressive, however, no older chickens to teach him how to act. The BJG are more laid back, even the males. They are the largest chicken breed. Our females are only ok layers, not great.

White bottom feet is australorp. She is by far our family favorite hen. She gardens with me. Talks to me like I’m a hen. So gentle, far down on pecking order. Smart. Our whole family will be devastated if something happens to her.

This one is the friendliest and most curious of our new crew. If I sit down she will jump up in my lap. I think she will be much loved!
