Hello,

I have a Black Australorp (father) X Black Brahma (mother) 9 months hybrid rooster.
I'm curious about the egglaying performance of this bird's future offspring (asuming I cross my hybrid roo with other egglaying hens)?
Would the Brahma blood impact it much?
The mother Brahma was a quite good layer.
What is your experience with Australorp X Brahma crosses? Are they nice birds? How big are they compared with their parents? Do they mature fast? How much they lay? Are they meaty?
If you have pictures, I'd love to see some of these corsses :D
I'll post some pictures of my roo later. It's a very nice big bird. :)

This rooster’s mom was an Australorp & his dad was a gorgeous light Brahma.

These are the offspring of my Light Brahma Hen, and Black Australorp Rooster. Roo has a bad attitude, and hen is very skittish. The chicks, however, love to be held and cared for by hand. The chicks are overall very friendly.

He is gorgeous 😍 I just hatched a chick yesterday whose mom is an australorp & dad is a light Brahma. I wonder if he/she will look similar...
How does your chick look now?

I rescued a couple boys who got dumped a few weeks ago. My best guess is a black Australorp and L. Brahma mix.
