Australorp??

Here's my pretty boy. The Photo does not do him justice, but you can get the Idea. he was 16 weeks old Monday.

 
Ignore all the "green sheen" talk. It's just people who don't realize ALL black chickens of hundreds of breeds have a green sheen, sorry. Purple sheen is fine, happens on any black color too, it's just a different rate of feather growth that causes purple bands in the feathers.


As long as she has white soles and a pinkish case around the soles, she's an Australorp.

If she has a purple sheen and is an australorp acording to the australorp standards used at shows it is a fault in the line and would be disqualified at a show a good australorp will have a green sheen
