Australorps - 2 months - what gender?

right now both appear to be pullets and neither look like australorps to me
Took the words right out of my mouth, one of my buddy has some and didn't look like them either

I have learned that when buying chicks, sellers can be deceiving. I have 5 roos and 3 pullets because I'm new and can't even guess day old chicks sexes. Smh lol
I was lucky in that he said I could take the ones I wanted and if they turned out to be roos he would swap them for pullets, but I am really upset that I have bought chickens that I thought were pure aren't.

You never know, they could turn out to be some birds. I have a polish girl and an australorp and they're fun to watch. They will still lay eggs, which is my ultimate goal... Can't get that from a rooster lol

This ^ is true I guess I was just a little dissapointed I hadn't got what I thought I had got. I was prepared to hear that maybe one or both were roo's not that they weren't even Australorps!

Lol I understand. I'd be a bit upset too.
Yes as would I, but it's better than getting roos IMO.

These both are girls, at least I think they are. My boys all had much redder combs/wattles at this age. Oh and the personality from polish mixes are really awesome. I love my crested breeds, but they are not for everyone. Hopefully you will still keep these two. If you don't really plan on breeding or showing, mixes are very good birds to keep.

Oh I am certainly keeping them, they were brought for my daughter and they are pretty cute and very friendly. At the end of the day it doesn't matter if they are a mixed breed thats what every other chicken is in my backyard, as I said above it was just a bit of a shock to be told that they weren't what I thought they were.
