Updated pics on post #20

I was told these 4 chicks are Plymouth Rocks. I bought them at just a couple days old. They are now a few days over 3 weeks. It was difficult to get them to cooperate with picture taking! Are they looking like PRs? I'm anxious to know their gender, too, but I don't know if it's still too soon.

The first one's comb has reddened up (roo?). The second one's comb is pinkish, not as red as it looks in the pic. The 2 on the right have flesh colored combs (one has its head turned of course!).

Yes, they are roosting on my leg! lol The farthest away is the first chick from the pic above. The 2 closest to the camera are the 2 on the right in the pic above.

I couldn't seem to get any really good pics. I might try to get a couple more today or tomorrow if it would help

I would say that you have two pullets and two cockerals... I'm not the expert on Barred rocks, did they have a white/yellow spot on top of their head when really little? That is a barred rock trait for babies.

That's kind of what I have been wondering. I'm a total newbie, but I've been trying to do a little research. Do you think they could be Australorps?

They look a little like Black Java, or Black Copper Marans(do they have feathers on the legs?)...maybe Australorp. They are cute whatever they are.... have fun with them.
