Hi, I am brand spanking new to the forum so if i can find some guidance on the following issue in a particular place, please excuse me and point me in the right direction.
We have a small group of ladies (3) as backyard pets more than anything (although the eggs are a nice bonus). We have 2 rhode island reds and an australorps. They are a little over 2 years old and had seemed to all go through their molting phase earlier in the year. But recently i have noticed that the black one has a couple of bald spots around her "shoulders" at first i thought it was residual molting, but now believe that she has been pecking at it for one reason or another. Any ideas of what this might be? Could it be mites, or some such? I am thinking a dusting might be in order but thought i might check here first! thanks in advance for any info.
