Another thing that has been on my mind a long time is the CEO's make way to much money. Why dont they cut there own salary to help the company? I know, I know pure greed, you don't have to tell me.

I agree American CEO's are being paid too much. Congress asked the three CEO's yesterday if they would cut their salaries and I believe it was the Chrysler CEO who said he would work for $1.00 a day. The others would not. It was annouced that the Ford CEO made 9.3 million last year.

How many jobs could 8.3 million save??? Greedy bas---ds!

If I were part of the Congress I would say well, then you don't deserve any help, we'll focus on Chrysler now.

bankruptcy = taxpayers still footing the bill & restructuring the company, yet again. It only works if they dont do what they've been doing over and over and over again.

How many companies have you seen with a sign that reads "Going Out of Business" over their doors with "EVERYTHING MUST GO! 70-80% off this week only!" - only to find out 2 months later - they did not go out of business at all??

Tactics at the taxpayers expense yet again. obviously someone thinks WE are complete idiots....

again, there is still no easy answer

I agree. Enron(sp?) is still in operations out here in the oil fields. Who got the raw deal on that one? The worker! They lost their jobs and retirement. Enron just transfered everything over to a sister company and bankrupted.
On Chrysler- get it in writing and give them the money! At least he doesn't think that the tax payer is stupid! Especially after the well advertised event of AIG CEO's.

He might have said it but would he do it. All three flew into Washington on separate corporate jets at a cost of 20K per CEO. First class ticket from Detroit to Washington was 800.00 - That's how you show somebody how hurtin' you are!

When I listened to the news I recall them saying two of the three flew in private corporate jets. I bet it was the Chrysler guy who didn't.

You would lose your money if you think Chrysler flew commercial! Ford and GM flew in their respective corpoate jets. Chrysler flew in their leased/chartered jet. The reason given??? Security!!!

You know if I were on the Board of Directors for one of those companies and our CEO said he wouldn't give up part of his salary to save the company........

Well, all I can say is, "Off with his head!"

... versus our small American owned business.

The two owners take the smallest paycheck so the workers can have bigger paychecks.

The two owners drive the oldest vehicles and the employees can afford newer vehicles.

The workers at "the Big 3" need to start a revolution.
