Auto Sexing and Sex Link??

Lol. I shouldn't type late at night.

With silver in the ROO, over red/brown/gold based hens, female chicks will be yellow marked down and males gold/red marked down. You won't be able to line breed these female daughters back to original silver roo for sex linking. You'll just reinforce the silver. Likewise a gold son over the original mother's will only reinforce gold. So this for you is first generation only unless you get a silver based hen.

If the roo is red/brown/gold based and the female silver, then the chicks will be males yellow based and females gold/red....but you have gold/red/brown based females so easiest is to pick up silver based rooster.

SLW probably is the easiest breed to pick up otherwise you have to really know the genetics of the rooster as white looking could be silver, which sex links, or recessive or dominant white, which won't do what you want.

Black is again dominant over silver or red so those chicks will be black both genders.

Sorry for confusion. Brain tired tonight.

Get a silver based rooster and breed over your RIR for red sexlinks first generation.
I think this is backwards.. and should be red/gold rooster over silver based hens.. I've mixed up the direction several times myself and thankfully someone caught it and corrected my mistake.

So SLW Roo over my GLW and possibly Welsummers and definitely the RIR?
Pretty sure my statement above is accurate.. please verify before ending up in a mess.

Welsummer are autosexing with their same breed rooster.

I've seen another thread that used GLW over SLW and in theory should sex link but was very hard (nearly impossible) to discern the sex at hatch.

Yes. I fixed it in later post. BYC computer wouldn't accept my edits on the original post.

I want to possibly hatch Auto Sex and or Sex Linked chicks so I can determine sexes at birth.
I currently have Golden Laced Wyandottes, Australorps, and Welsummers and Rhode Island Red hens.
What rooster(s) breed(s) would I need to create auto sexing and or sex linked chicks? Would it even be possible with the four breeds I currently own?
Thank you for all your answers. Appreciate the help.
I do not think you can get any sexlinked chicks from those hens.

The two most common kinds of sexlinks:
Barred hens with a not-barred rooster to give barred sons and not-barred daughters. None of your hens are barred, so they cannot be used to produce this kind of sexlinks.

Silver hens with gold rooster to give silver sons and gold daughters. Three of your hens are gold which is wrong for producing this kind of sexlink, and the black won't work either because she will produce black chicks, where you can't see the gold or silver that you would use to sex the chicks.
