just wondering what people prefer....manual vs automatic?

i have running at the moment a brinsea with auto turner, and an old still air (manual turning) bator. now i know theres lots of other factors to take into account but so far ive had better hatch rates with the old cupboard style manual turning still air bator than with the new spangeld modern fan assisted auto incubator.

what do other people find?

For me, forced air incubator is the best. Still air is unpredictable, and in this business of hatching eggs I like to erase as much unpredictability as possible. That way it becomes more assured and more scientific. I would go forced air (with auto turner), just for the peace of mind of having stable temps..

i like hand turning on a rack... just pull a string and they magically turn... but i setup my auto turner, so now i don't think about it all day and even look in the bator...
