We worked all day today to get it installed and it's up and running great. We also ran some extra pipes to the other side of the garden. That will make watering easy this year. We installed 2 water bowls in the main run and the breeder pens we only installed one bowl for each pen. Here is a picture of the one in the ameraucana pen. I love these things and I will not miss lugging water to all the pens.

Please describe how you installed it and what supplies are needed. That's exactly what I need here in TX and with 18 new chicks I suspect I'll be hauling water all day long

I have a setup similar to that......well had:( after our first good freeze all the water in the PVC pipe froze and shattered the pipe no one noticed until it warmed up for a day and part of the yard looked like a swamp!!!!

I am trying to convince my husband to lets do something like this for the summer. We don't have a way to put water way out at the barn but I think it would work with gravity fed water tanks. What do you think?

We didn't have water out at our barns either or the horse pasture. So we cut into the line that goes to the well pump and ran it that way. So yesterday we cut into the line that runs to the garden we put in about 7 years ago. It was fairly easy once we figured out how we wanted it to run to each pen. I bought about 140' of pipe to do ours. Plus we only had to dig two spots to bury the pipes. That was were the gates are that we drive through to the back pastures. I think it took more time gluing the pieces together then anything else. All were working great this morning and only one small pin leak that hubby fixed this morning. All the chickens took right to it matter of fact they were pecking at them before we even turned the water on to it. They are so worth it and I was lucky enough to get the bowls on sale for $13.99 at Double R suppply about a month ago.

We used 3/4" pipe for most of the job then down to 1/2" pipe to each bowl.

Where did you get your waterers? I can't seem to find a good online source that isn't expensive..
