Hi there..
I have a some Silkie Bantams in a coop in the garden. I love to take care of them, but sometimes work or other stuff gets in the way. So I'm working on a project helping to make me sure my silkies stay happy when I'm not there.
Over time the automation is suppose to take care of: The door, window (to keep the house dark and the rooster quite in the morning), ventilation, fresh water, heat water in the winther, light in the winter, goodies and much more.
I'm using a Raspberry pi (micro linux computer) and the hmi is a lcd-display and 6 buttons.
So far I've got following working:
the door: open and close on the time set individual for each week day (with 15 minutes intervals).
the same is possible for the window curtain and light.
I've made a short video on youtube (comments are in danish, sorry, but I think you get the idea).
Take a look if interested, and feel free to share ideas, comments, advise or what ever
Regards Kastrup
