Automatic chicken coop door

We just installed an automatic chicken coop door in our coop. We installed it in the door that leads to the run. I would have to go out in the mornings to open the “people” door and let the girls out. I would close it after all the girls were back in the coop to roost. The problem is the girls don’t seem to know how to use it.

Sometimes chickens have to be trained to do new things. Tempt them with their feed or treats just outside the door and I bet they will soon figure it out.

Thank you! It took them a couple of days to figure out but they finally learned to use it!
