Automatic Coop Door Opener

Thanks so much!!!
One other thing.... Will the door stop if a chicken is going in or out ?? Probably hasn't happened eh??

The motor works much like a fishing reel. The door is attached to the motor by a length of strong fishing line so it would just stop if the chicken was to go under it while it was coming down. I wouldn't think it would harm a chicken if they were in the way.

Great thank you :)

I can tell you NOT to order from "Automatic Chicken Coop Door" (ACCD).
I paid them $205 for mine, and had trouble from day one. They are very cheaply made, and mine came with broken parts and did not work properly. The line that raises and opens the door, broke twice in the first couple of days. If one of my birds had been under it at the time, they could have been hurt or killed. You have to dismantle the whole thing to fix the line.
When I contacted the company ACCD (by e-mail only, they do not post their phone #), they blamed the motor manufacturer, and told me to contact them. The manufacturer told me that the company ACCD, did not use the motor as it was designed.
Long story short, ACCD kept me on the hook long enough that their "return time" lapsed, and they refuse to replace it. They did offer to replace the timer, (that can be bought anywhere for about $7), even after I told them the timer was not the problem, they just kept offering a new timer, that was all they would do.
I have a non functioning door, and I am out $205. AVOID the door.

The Chicken Guard automatic door opener only lasted me 4 years and paid a little over $200.00. I am in search of a new one. Hopefully I can find one that will last more then 4 years.
