Automatic Door Openers

I need to set up a door that will close at night and open in the morning. I know there are the ones on eBay from England for $145, but is there a homemade version that also works? If so, how to make it?

I ahve been looking for the same thing and found similar products on dog supply sites there are some doors there. gotta look hard though for the kind that do not work by a collar for the animal. I wish I could remember what site it was. sorry. Erin m.

Actually I'm hoping to find something less expensive than the one from England at $145. Are there any home-made plans that work? One guy is selling plans for one on eBay but for $25 just for the plans, which seems very high to me.
