Hi sorry if im posting this in the wrong place.
I was thinking about getting an electric door closer but on my allotment site where i have my chickens we have alot of thieves breaking into peoples peoples allotments to steal tools and some people have had there chickens stolen.
My question is, is it possible to make a home made chicken door closer which doesnt require electric? Not sure if its a silly question sorry if it is.
I was thinking maybe it could be possible to use sand or water as its slowly pours into a bottle/container which is attached onto the door and the door have some sort of elastic rope on the sides so that as it fills it will close slowly and not slam down?
Has anyone tried anything like this or different or does anyone have any ideas which i i cou possibly try.
Thanks,
Andy.
