Automatic Egg Turner Qutions on rotation

Motor has 2 red leads going to a clip plug style that plugs into another clip that has 2 yellow leads which is wired directly to 110V power supply line I have. It just continuously rotates back and forth

sry to tell you but that's the wrong type. You need the 1 rev per 4 hrs type.

The one you have is for a incubator with a turner timer. If you can not return it for exchange you may be able to replace the motor they are about $9 on ebay
 
So if I left this motor on it, would it cause problems with eggs rotating so much?

Frank, I have ask at least 2 times how fast it turns??? If it is doing a complete cycle every few seconds----yes it will cause problems??? If it takes about 3 or 4 hours to do one cycle---that is good.
 
Yes, it is doing it a few seconds, never stops moving back and forth

Like the other poster said----that turner is designed to be hooked to a timer that turns it off and on. Not good for eggs to be rocking back and forth like that. You can manual plug it in for a second to turn the eggs----just do that a few times a day.
