Thanks for the input!
Where I work, at a manufacturing plant, we can make just about anything out of metal. I custom made the SST tank to serve this purpose. I could have repurposed a tank from somewhere, but this is exactly how I wanted it, so I decided it was best to make my own. The whole tank and all the fittings are all stainless steel. If it isn't SST, its plastic, as to keep from rusting.
I plan on putting a heater in the tank along with a recirculation pump that has a hose that goes all the way thru the PVC pipe to the very end, so hopefully this will allow the warm water to reach the very end of the pvc pipe to prevent freezing, as I live in eastern Iowa and it does freeze.
I agree I need a hose on the overflow!! LOL. I haven't gotten around to it yet as I have been working on my mini bulk feed bin. I will connect a hose to it and run it to the outside so if the float valve sticks open, it will direct the overflow to the outside. I just haven't gotten to it yet, I probably will this weekend.
I also made a lid for the tank to help keep dust out of it.. Ill post pictures as soon as I can.
ALMOST DONE with my mini bulk tank!! Just need to paint it, which I will do this evening! I cant wait to be able to start using it!!
Ill post pictures of that too!
As always, feedback is appreciated
