I have just bought a new incubator off eBay, not sure what brand
The turner goes every 2 hours and rotates the eggs twice on either side at the end of the two hours
after that it places the eggs upright until 2 hours later when they are quickly rotated again

Is this what should be happening? Won't it cause the embryo to develop in the wrong position?

Thankyou

Is this what the directions say will happen? Could you give us a picture of the turner? That sounds awfully odd and not like how an auto turner is supposed to work. Mine 'turns' them every 2 hours or so as well, but this simply means the racks rotate slowly from one side of a ~90 degree angle to the other side over the two hours, and then back again. It's so slow I can't actually see it turning, I have to come back later to see if it's in a different position.

The directions don't say anything about how the turner should operate but I assumed that it would work somewhat like yours kedreeva

This is the page:

Hmmm that link doesn't show anything because it says the auction is probably over 90 days past. Are there any markings on the incubator or turner that might indicate where they came from?
