I just purchased: welsummer, speckled Sussex, French wheaten maran, cream leg bar, buff orpington, brown leghorn, splash laced red wyandotte and dark brahma.

Are any of those autosexed breeds? Just trying to learn how to tell if male or female.

Cream Legbar are supposed to be autosexing (although I've read of some lines that are not very clear about it.)

The rest are not autosexing at hatch, but most of them do have different male and female coloration at maturity, which starts to show up as they are growing feathers.

Some breeds have males with black breast feathers (Welsummer, Wheaten Maran, Brown Leghorn, Dark Brahma).
Female breast feathers in those breeds are salmon (Welsummer, Brown Leghorn) or cream (Wheaten Marans) or patterned in black & white (Dark Brahma).

Cream Legbars are usually sexed by the amount of white barring, but the underlying colors include black breasts for the males and salmon breasts for the females.

The Laced Wyandottes develop different coloring in the males vs. females too, but I can't think of a simple way to describe it.

The Buff Orpingtons are supposed to have both sexes the same color.

Speckled Sussex I'm not sure whether there are gender-specific color differences or not. The speckling makes it hard for me to see what underlying pattern there might be.
