Avatar Help Please!

i just tryed to change mine and it didn't work

That avatar is too big (by about 2x) in kilobytes, probably because it is animated.

hi nifty mine is under the size max it says uploading avatar then it's the old one? i even try deleting the old one, leaving, then coming back and uploading the new one but the old one reappears? i'm stumped
