Hi guys,
I appreciate all that the staff and moderators do for this forum and I thank you very much for making BYC the place to be.
I use my dad’s cannon camera to take pictures of my chickens because the pictures come out clear and professional looking. But lately when I upload a picture to use as my avatar it seems to be a bit blurry when I click on the avatar to look at it. I have noticed the same problem when clicking on other members’ avatars as well. Is there a way that the quality of the avatar can be increased?

It’s blurry and a bit pixelated.

I think that PFMs have a larger max avatar size at 102400 bytes as opposed to 51200 bytes for regular members.

I have noticed this too, on camera they look clear, here on BYC they are fuzzy.

I think they get resized if they are larger than that maximum file size.

I'm not that tech savvy either, but I think what you might be seeing is a result of your image being downsized to fit in the avatar thingy, then upsized.

I can revert the image back to what it looked like before I cropped it and see if that works.
