Avatar problems

I have been trying to change my avatar and it won't let me upload. Nothing happens. I have been able to delete my old one, but it won't let me upload a new one. I know it's not the picture because it won't let me upload the old on either. Very frustrating! What am I doing wrong?

No I click on the upload button and nothing happens.

OK now I'm home on my computer. I have uploaded a picture in uploads. Asked it to resize to avatar size. It uploaded. I get to where you can browse for an avitar picture. Go to my uploads. Copy the picture I uploaded in the resize for avatar mode. Go back to where the avatar upload is and it won't let me paste it. Very frustrating. What's up?

Are you saving the smaller image (100x100 under 15 kb) to your computer then uploading it to your profile as your avatar?

Nifty Chicken, Thank you soooo much, you saved the day again. The resize website did the trick. I'm old and get very frustrated with computers. They work great when you know what to do. My problem is I usually don't. Thanks again!!!
