Average age that these breeds will lay

I have a Ameraucana and a Cuckoo Maran who will be 21 weeks on Friday, when should I expect them to start laying? Neither of them are doing the squatting thing and the cuckoo maran always runs when I try to pet her....

Also, will I know when the Cuckoo Maran lays her first egg, like do they always come out the first time dark chocolate brown, cause I have a Golden Comet who lays a dark brown egg....

They will both start a little later, like 24-28 weeks. But, they may surprise you.

The CM will lay some weird eggs at first. Then they will be dark and gradually get lighter over time.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply....So should I expect some eggs from them before most chickens stop in the Winter??
