Hey all, so I give my flock milk all the time, however this morning on the news I heard that the Avian Flu has been spread to milk, so I am now very concerned. The last time I gave them milk was about 2 days ago, and I'm just wondering if this is something I should be worried about. And I've stopped giving them milk as well. Please let me know if you all have any information on this topic. Thx!

Chickens aren't capable of digesting milk
At least one reputable source for that claim is required, since it is contrary to hundreds of years of poultry keeping practice in the USA and elsewhere. And my flock have no trouble whatsoever digesting any dairy product.

It is found in raw milk from infected cows. It appears that pasteurization kills the virus. Milk is also being tested regularly now for that reason. So unless you give your birds raw milk, you don't have much to worry about.
Well... when the plague of locusts hits, our chickens will have plenty to eat....

I said this to my Ex today...

If you can't have a human pandemic... Then have a "food source" pandemic. 🤷

I would not be worried about the milk. I give mine almost raw milk all the time.
