I’ve heard about this disease in the news recently and I’m afraid to let the girls out in their tractor coop for fear they might get sick and die. So right now they are restricted to their coop and run.
Is there any news about the Avian flu and its effects on back yard flocks?

The biggest risk is exposure to wild waterfowl because they congregate in huge flocks. I wouldn't worry about the odd finch or song bird and IMO the risk is so low it shouldn't mean our birds can't enjoy the grass etc...

Mine free range every day and will continue to do so.
