In the Brooder
So i have been reading on the post about the avian pox in birds and i have seen many different takes on what to do. Some say to do nothing (which is really hard) and other have tried different things.
so what has work for those of you that have had it,and what doesnt work?
so far three of my 10 turkeys have it with visiable spots. One of the three has it really bad his hole head is covered with it. we have tried cutting the ones around his eyes so that he can see.. i will add pics at my next chance but i have looked on the web and thats what it looks like from all that i can find.. please give me things to try or that have worked for you. We have been spraying him with an antibacterial spray on any spots we see. he does seem to be getting better, but like i said the others seem to be getting it on the males, have not seen anything on the females yet!!
since we treat them as pets they are well feed so i think thats one reason he has lasted this long, i have tried to force feed him but he doesnt like it.
any help at all and things to try would be great thank you in advance. i will reply to all as i can.
