Hey, everyone! I’m a first-time chicken owner and am running into my first health issue. I noticed these growths on a hen and my rooster yesterday. Is this avian pox? If not, can someone help me identify the issue and what I can do to treat them or make them more comfortable while they heal? Thanks for any help and advice! I’m really concerned and don’t know what to do. When I look up something about lumps, the internet says fowl pox, but when I look up fowl pox, all of the photos look way more serious and advanced than what’s currently going on.

Since the sores are in the same spot, they be poking their beaks through something
Okay, thanks! I’ll be watching the cams to make sure they aren’t getting in anything they shouldn’t be. They’ve gotten curious lately so maybe they’re just outsmarting me. 😂

Chicken wire and other wire fencing can sometimes cause beak injuries and sores, when they poke their beaks through them or get pushed into them.
