Wow! That sounds so cool. It is such a small field, that is awesome you got all those docs to do it.

Andy works VERY hard to help all of us with backyard flocks. I am in metro-Atlanta and belong to the Meetup group Andy started here. You cannot believe all of the good things he does to support us, our rights to keep chickens, keeping us up to date on "news", sales, etc. He does a simply incredible job and his talk shows have proven to be a wealth of info for me. I have only spoken to him 1 time live, but, I can tell you he is a true "Southern Gentleman".....

Thanks for everything Andy (aka "The Chicken Whisperer")

Hey Yard full 0' rocks,

Wow! Thank you so much for your nice comments! I'm so glad that you enjoy the radio show. It's getting bigger and better each month and our listener numbers are in the thousands! We still need to get the word out so please tell all your friends!

Thanks again,

Hey Wifezilla,

No problem! It will be a good and FREE way to get correct information. Members can send me their questions and I will try to ask as many as time allows.

Thanks for listening!

Hello, this is probably a rare question, but please ask the vet how much homemade buttermilk or homemade kefir or homemade yogurt is safe to give our chickens.

We have goats and I like to give our birds homemade products from the goats as listed above. In a pen of about 25 birds, I give them about 2 quarts daily. Our goat milk is not pasteurized and none of these products have any salt added.

Thanks so much. BTW Our hens really love these and their egg production has stayed the same and the hens are very healthy.

Hey BYC Members,

Tomorrow's topics will be Coccidiosis and Marek's. My special guest will be Dr. Mimi Shepherd, DVM.

Mimi Shepherd, associate veterinarian, graduated from Florida State University in 1975 earning a BS in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics. After working at the Food and Drug Administration for a few years, she attended the University of Georgia; earning a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. In 1999, she obtained Diplomate (Avian) status of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP). Dr. Shepherd is one of only 112 veterinarians in the United States certified in avian medicine. Dr. Shepherd lives with a flock of small birds, three dogs, and one tortoise.

Thanks for listening!
