I have been reading different threads about aviary netting. I am not so sure the chicken commenters are as relevant as the birds don't flush like Peafowl or Pheasants. Does anyone have recommendations?

I will second that! We use the 2 inch heavy knotted above our pens.Highly recommend 3T Products for fowl netting. I have over 20 different peafowl and pheasant pens and the netting for 3T is by far the best!
That is good stuff too. My wife had a huge batting cage for her two boys when I met her. The cage had been up for ten or fifteen years when I took it down and it was still in good shape, mostly. I used most of it for wall dividers. The only problem with it is it is more expensive to begin with.I use baseball netting.
The great thing is that it's strong and comes in large sizes. The down side is that I bought 2inch squares and the babies can get out up until they are 5 weeks old. I think you can get it in 1 inch squares. That is good stuff too. My wife had a huge batting cage for her two boys when I met her. You can but the drawback for using one inch is if you live where it snows. One inch will collect the snow and can tear down with the weight. I have two inch and dry snow will fall right through but wet heavy snows I will have to go out and knock the snow off the netting. The great thing is that it's strong and comes in large sizes. My 7 - 5 week old Be Be Kids (90s movie reference) were constantly getting out and wreaking havoc. Came home one day to them 20 feet away playing in the front yard. My super awesome barn cat was babysitting. He was watching out for those little brats. LOLYou can but the drawback for using one inch is if you live where it snows.
