Aviary or ground coop

I keep mine in low pens on the ground. In fall/winter they're on my garden beds, in spring/summer they get moved around my yard.

I was inspired by Nibiki quail setup to do something similar for my fancy chickens in my greenhouse beds. They get to work at building the compost in place for the new raised bed. See post here ...

I plan to get quail next year sometime so I appreciate all the pics of quail setups.

Aviary here. Post 1206 -- https://www.backyardchickens.com/posts/23423232/

I have since rearranged things and added an additional platform "quail deck" half the size of the one in the picture. I put a feeder on top of the big one, and if I'm giving the birds meal worms I sprinkle some on the platforms. Over the past few weeks, they've been hanging out on the decks much more often. Though there are always some hanging out underneath.
