There's an airshow about an hour from us called EAA in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. We go most years, but it's gotten so big you can't even get through the whole thing in one day, so I'm not sure if we'll go this summer or not.

Oh... that's just the BIGGEST airshow in the world! It's on my bucket list. Looking at 2027.

I'm going to Sun N Fun next month!

I didn't realize. No wonder! It's an hour from here, but by the time you get there and get parked, it's about 3 hours.

I apologize for my naivety. I didn't realize that EAA by us was highly renowned. When we go, it's for my dad, who meets us there from Minnesota. He was in the AF, and in fact, I was born on Langley AF Base, Virginia, in 1960.

Thus, now I'll share some from last year. Dad would know what everything was but I don't. The night show where they made words or pictures they said was the largest drone show at the time anywhere. The fireworks in the air was mostly done by airplanes.

That's so wonderful. Yes, it is a very big deal in the aviation world. If you think ground traffic is bad, you should see the air traffic!!

Has anyone ever been to the Wright Patterson National Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH? Since I grew up in that half of the state, I got to go a few times. It was actually where I got engaged and where we had our first date, lol!
They've got the Memphis Bell there, which is for sure one of my favorite planes. To have gotten to stand under it is such an amazing thing to be able to say.
The movie Memphis Bell actually flew over our house once, and I got to see her from a distance and the local airfield. Didn't pay the $400 for a ride though, haha. If I'd had my own money at the time, I certainly would have.

I've been to a few but never that one. You made me pull up some youtube videos showing the Memphis Bell and Movie Memphis Bell flying. Very cool!
