Aviverm for Gapeworm?

I have a 9 month old black araucana who has been gaping for a few weeks.
She is not wheezing or coughing but definitely gaping. She seems to be in good health, eating and drinking and laying lots of eggs.

I have given the whole flock Aviverm (Levamisole Hydrochloride 24% w/v as an aqueous solution) a week ago, would that be sufficient to treat Gapeworm or should i be giving her something else?? She was still gaping today.

Or could it be something else??

Any advice very welcome, I really don't want to lose my blue egg layer!

If she had gapeworm, she would be dead by now. Birds with gapeworm dont eat nor drink. She may have something stuck in her crop or gizzard causing her to gape if there's no symptoms of respiratory disease. Birds also gape to adjust their crop/gizzard. Give her tomato juice, perhaps that'll clear any blockages in the crop or gizzard.

He’s had a history of gapeworm however I feel like my Safeguard Goat dewormer isn’t working. Fenbendazole. I dilute in his water and he drinks it well, however he still has them inside of his little body!!! He’s been vomiting clear liquid which also indicates they’re in his respiratory system as well!

I’m ignorant to that, obviously has something to do with his poop droppings.. you mean checking his poop for the worms?? If so then yes I have checked many times, as I am diligent with his droppings, I spray down his area with Manna Pro Poultry Protector however he does still enjoy his worms when he’s out grazing, like earthworms for example which I know them to be also carriers of the gapeworms! I don’t know how to keep him from chicken scratching the soil and eating grub!!

You would have to take some of his fresh feces to a vet and get them to check it. Worms are not generally shed in the feces, but their eggs are. They are very microscopic so you need some special equipment. First things first, I'd get him checked before you give him any more drugs. Whatever is up with him may have absolutely nothing to do with parasites. Vomiting clear liquid does not mean he has worms in his respiratory system, but it could mean he has something else going on.

I don’t have enough money to take him to see one these days! I’m gonna have to put that on hold unfortunately until then cause I’ve still got my other bills to pay.. I will say that I know that throwing up clear liquid is one of the three main factors as to why poultry throw out clear liquid
