Hello Guys!
I have heard, that Avocados are not good for Quails. I am planning to get me some Coturnix Quails, however, there will be a lot of young Avocado Trees in the same Area the Quails will be. Are the trees and leaves as problematic as the frutis themselves? Or is it just the high fat content of the Avocados? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to BYC and congrats on making the first post!:frow @007Sean @penny1960 @Kiki please let us all know more about yourself under "new member introductions" in the forums.:welcome

I am curious where in the world you live to have potentially healthy Avacado trees. I grow plenty of toxic things here on the property such as milkweeds for the monarchs. Chicken know the good stuff vs the bad stuff they can eat. They leave my citrus alone it is bad for them as well. If I were to offer them citrus they might try eating it as I am the big rooster here giving them treats.

Thank you all for your help! I have the trees in big pots, and can't put them outside now because of the winter season here in central europe :)

Central Europe I spent 14 years in Germany and I am scratching my head over the why bother aspect of trying to grow avocado trees. I hope you didn't grow those from seed as many of the commercial varieties do not breed true and are an exercise in futility anyway. https://homeguides.sfgate.com/avocado-trees-grown-storebought-seeds-produce-fruit-60009.html "
Considerations
If you know the variety of avocado you’ve bought -- such as a "Hass" avocado (P. americans “Hass”), a common market variety -- you have no guarantee it will grow true to the parent, particularly if it has been grafted to another rootstock, which is common in commercial avocados. Choosing a complementary variety to guarantee pollen is problematic if you don't know the variety of your window-grown tree. Providing you actually have a "Hass" avocado, can meet its cultural needs and afford a large water bill, it will need five to seven years before it starts to produce. At the end, the odds that your tree will produce fruit are small -- but you’ll have an evergreen ornamental tree and a story to tell."

I would stick to figs.

They are indeed grown from Hass-Seeds :) However, I just wanted to have cheap, fast growing green plants in my flat as I missed having a garden. They are already five years old, but I do not plan on trying to make them grow fruits. :)
