Now not only is drama-mama Lily the GSL broody, but tonight sweet-n-sassy Midge the Cochin bantam growled/screeched at us from a nesting box! Come on, Midge! You just finished raising chicks 2 weeks ago!

I cannot have a broody. And I CANNOT cannot have 2 broodies!

It's weird, though. When I kick Midge out of the coop, she tries to get back in but doesn't "took" like she did in her last broodiness and like Lily does now. But if I let her into the coop she'll hop right into the blue nesting box and screech at anybody who comes in. But weirdest of all is that she laid an egg today

Lily, Poppy, Gamma, and Flutter all lay fat brown eggs, Quinn lays white eggs, and Aspen lays green eggs. But today (in addition to the other eggs) we got a tiny brown egg- which is exactly what Midge lays.

Oh! Do I ever feel your pain! I've been trying to break my prize layer and my forever broody bantam cochin for about 3 weeks now. They are bogarting the nests and I feel like production is down because of it.
