hey everyone!! i got a chick order in today!!! i already own Easter eggers and black australorps i ordered them a little over a year ago when we first started the this "homestead" and i really wanted more breeds to look at rather then just my 2 kinds of chickens.....so0o0o for months i have been looking at chicken breeds on line that i find the prettiest and a "few" chicks turned into ordering 45 chicks

i have ordered from many hatcheries before but never mcmurray hatchery they seem to be the only company in stock with blue laced red wyandottes *right now in stock* so i made my order and am overjoyed with the chicks they all came alive and healthy my order was 12 blue laced red wyandottes 8 speckled sussex and a 25 pack of pullet chicks which can be anything, Out of the "pullet pack" Wow, they gave me a Huge range of breeds almost every chick looks different the blue laced reds all are beautiful they are not all the same because there are some which are darker or lighter, and i Love the speckled sussex they even gave me a extra one along with another free rare chick...they all are doing great and i really cant wait to see who is who...and see what kind of colored eggs i get!

Congrats! What a great assortment. You are going to have a blast playing the, "Which kind is this little chick" game.

That's awesome, it should be fun and i have an easter egger named Bobby Jean she's a hen and has a cool coloring around her head. the other birds sound fun, especially so many of them. how cool to see how different they all look as they grow older!!!

new chicks are so much fun, especially when you have ones that you're not sure what breed they are until they start maturing and getting their feathers!

How exciting! I'm glad to hear they are all healthy and happy [IMG]. We have an order from McMurray coming on the 19th or 20th and we are so excited!! We ordered the brown layer assortment (started wanting six, ordered 25 and the free one) and I can't wait to see what they send us and start guessing breeds.

really impressed with McMurray Hatchery I did end up getting 2 defected chicks out of 47.... one is blind the other only has one eye, Being such a HUGE hatchery i didst want to throw up a red flag at all, all the chicks seem very healthy But this morning i checked on them and 2 completely different babies didn't make it and 2 looked very weak so i called... Not only are they refunding me for all six chicks they want me to call back tomorrow in case anything happens to the others, Shes also gave me a small recipe on what to do into the waterer to help the chicks. Will order again from Mcmurray! :)
