Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
My 1st Hen....Henrietta is very sweet, and always comes to me every evening for her "treats".
I had to re-home her "husband" about 2 months ago, because of city ordinance and neighbors complaining about his crowing. Anyway lately....she has been squatting when she comes for her treats!
I think she is missing her Roo....Does anyone else's hens do this?
