Axe or machete

If I choose to chop off their heads, is there any reason I can't use a machete instead of an axe? My dh thinks I'll have an easier time using one.

We use a cleaver. Whatever works for him (or you).

We use a hatchet, but I agree with dangerouschicken, choose whatever feels most comfortable for you.
