It’s possible he’s 12 weeks but I just thought he was rather small. The lady said that he was 12 weeks. She said that he doesn’t have the saddle feathers so that’s why she thinks he’s a hen

That's still huge for 12 weeks. Cockerels don't have saddle feathers at this age yet. Heres and example of my 12 week old pullets. Super small comb still

Ok, so you've had it for 8 weeks, but the lady said it was 8 weeks when you got it.... what did it look like 8 weeks ago? Do you have pics?
