#1 crowed a couple days ago, but I’ve read that hens can crow as well?

1 has male specific feathering coming in at the shoulders and saddle, so that one is definite. 2 seems to have a large comb for that age but nothing else is pointing to cockerel at this stage.

Agreed, 1 is a cockerel, 2 could go either way.
