I bought some eggs from a guy that was not sure about some of them, though others were different breeds of brahma and Plymouth chickens

Today some of them hatched and I got a very interesting looking chick

Here is a pic of that chick

I am curious can this chick be ayam cemani ?????

This one is just day old, have black beak, back feet and everything

The guy would probably know if he has cemani, as they are pretty rare in the US at this point. Do you have a picture of this chick under more natural lighting? There are other breeds that hatch with black feet and beaks.

If you're in the US, it's not a Ayam Cemani. They're stil so rare here folks are charging $$$ for them, you're not going to get a pure bred bird from a random person selling mixed breed eggs. They're not the only black skinned bird around, there are several others and mixes can give dark looking skin also.

Agree with you all that ayam cemani is not a breed whose eggs be available with every next person but i was curious because that lot of eggs is giving me too much surprises

Here are few of the chicks that came out

Buff Silkies, another very rare breed

Thats why i was curious and i am not from united states

Will share with you the recent pics of that black guys though now i am about sure that he is not a ayam cemani

Thank you all of you guys

Best Regards

I'm not sure where you are, but here in the US buff silkies aren't rare at all, they're available from several hatcheries.....

Silkie ancestry a ways back could easily be the answer to your black skinned bird. I think the dark skin can carry down several generations, enough you can lose the other silkie characteristics.

I am from Pakistan

and these buff silkies are really rare here and thanks for your reply me now sure that he/she is not a ayam cemani (not everyone can have ayam cemani just by picking some eggs from a lot :p)

Cheers
