Ayam Ketawa hatch along/Wild Warblers of the Womble

Yesterday I picked up a cockerel from a girl who bred some Cemani x Ketawa (because I just can't seem to wait 2 years for my own BC1s to start crowing)
She said her inspiration was Halloween. She wants them to sneak around unseen and startle trick or treaters!
He sat in my lap the whole ride home so he got named Miles Davis.View attachment 4233521View attachment 4233522
I was concerned that he's an f1 fibro since the Cemani was the dad. She claims that they did not inherit Id from the mother because she's recessive white. You can tell he's a cross because his iridescence is blue and purple but I don't really care because I've never had a lap rooster before.
So precious!!! I want 🥹

There's not a whole lot of documentation in English about Ayam Ketawa crosses. Miles has an unusual crow cadence but it's no longer than a normal crow and there aren't any guffaws. He trills his doodle and drops the -a-. Cock-doodldldldldldlOOOO! His brothers weren't crowing to roost yet when I picked him up, so I didn't get a chance to hear the group. If he had a good mother, then he should be het for most or all of the important markers and should show some recombinant segregation in his offspring once he figures out what to do with the girls.

Went in to check on them. Due to hatch tomorrow. Rory's babies are already pipped and peeping!
